About the Curators

ASSEMBLY ROOM

ASSEMBLY ROOM is a curatorial collective founded in 2018 by independent curators Natasha Becker, Paola Gallio, and Yulia Topchiy in New York City.

Having worked individually in the art world for more than a decade and curating shows on our own, we felt it was time to create a collaborative community of women fueled by our passion for art from around the world.

The global Covid-19 pandemic changed our lives; we relinquished our brick and mortar exhibition space, but as the culture went virtual, so did we. As optimism returns and cities reopen, Assembly Room re-emerges as a conceptual nomadic presence where the values of artistic collaboration and community building far exceed the physical space we occupied at 191 Henry Street.

With digital, print, virtual, and physical platforms at our disposal, we are excited to create new curatorial contexts that invoke and engage visual artists and audiences from around the world.
